A past high is not a forecast, and many coins never return to theirs. Fees and tax are not counted. To see where a growth rate of your choosing leads, use the Crypto Price Prediction Calculator.

How it is calculated

The gain to reach an all-time high is the gap to that high, measured against the price now.

  • Gain to reach ATH = (all-time high − price now) ÷ price now × 100
  • Down from ATH = (all-time high − price now) ÷ all-time high × 100
  • Multiple = all-time high ÷ price now
  • Value now = coins you hold × price now
  • Value at ATH = coins you hold × all-time high
  • Gain on your buy price = (all-time high − buy price) ÷ buy price × 100

Frequently asked questions

Short answers on all-time highs and on what this calculator can and cannot tell you.

ATH stands for all-time high: the highest price a coin has ever traded at. It is often used to show how far a coin has fallen, and how far it would have to rise to get back.

Subtract the price now from the all-time high, divide by the price now and multiply by 100. A coin at ₹32,00,000 with an all-time high of ₹80,00,000 has to rise ₹48,00,000 ÷ ₹32,00,000 × 100 = 150%, which is 2.5 times the price now.

Because the two percentages are measured from different prices. The coin above is 60% below its high, measured from ₹80,00,000, but it has to rise 150% to get back, measured from ₹32,00,000. The Crypto Percentage Loss Calculator shows the gain needed to recover from any loss.

Nobody knows, and many coins never do. An all-time high shows what buyers once paid, not what they will pay again. It also helps to check the size the coin would need to be: if more coins are in circulation now than at the time of the high, the same price needs a larger market cap. The Crypto Market Cap Calculator works that out.

Multiply the coins you hold by the all-time high. 0.5 coins at ₹80,00,000 would be worth ₹40,00,000, against ₹16,00,000 at ₹32,00,000. If you sold there, the profit over your buy price would be taxed at 30%, or 31.2% with cess. Use the India Crypto Tax Calculator for the tax on a sale.

Price trackers and most exchanges show it on the coin's page, often in US dollars. Use the same currency for both prices. The percentages come out the same in any currency as long as the price now and the all-time high are in the same one, but the rupee values of a holding need both prices in rupees.
