Gas units × gas price
Work out the network fee for a transaction on Ethereum and similar networks, in the coin and in rupees, from the gas it uses and the gas price.

An estimate. Your wallet shows the exact gas estimate before you confirm, and a failed transaction still costs gas. Layer 2 networks add a data fee that is not included. For the fee an exchange charges on a trade, use the Crypto Spot Trading Fee Calculator.
A gas fee is the amount of work a transaction needs, multiplied by the going price for that work.
Short answers on gas fees and on what this calculator counts.
It is the fee a blockchain network charges to process a transaction, such as sending coins, moving a token or making a swap. It is paid in the network's own coin, which is ETH on Ethereum, and it goes to the network, not to your wallet or exchange.
Multiply the gas units the transaction uses by the gas price. The gas price is quoted in gwei, and one gwei is a billionth of a coin. Sending ETH uses 21,000 gas units. At a gas price of 22 gwei that is 462,000 gwei, or 0.000462 ETH. With ETH at ₹2,50,000 the fee is ₹115.50.
On Ethereum the gas price has two parts. The base fee is set by the network for each block and rises when the network is busy. The priority fee is a tip you add so your transaction is picked up sooner. In the example above a 20 gwei base fee comes to ₹105.00 and a 2 gwei priority fee to ₹10.50.
Each block has limited room, so the base fee goes up when many people want to transact at once and down when the network is quiet. The fee also depends on what you are doing: a swap uses several times the gas of a simple transfer, so it costs several times as much at the same gas price.
No. It depends on the gas units and the gas price, not on the value of the transaction. That makes small transfers expensive in percentage terms. The ₹115.50 fee above is 1.155% of a ₹10,000 transfer but only 0.0116% of a ₹10,00,000 one. Layer 2 networks are usually cheaper, though they add a data fee of their own that this calculator does not include.
Generally not. India allows only the cost of acquisition as a deduction against crypto profit, so gas and other fees do not reduce the taxable amount.
