An estimate. Targets and the table keep the circulating supply as it is today, and it usually grows. A large market cap does not mean a coin is easy to sell. For the profit on a holding, use the Crypto Profit Calculator.
Market cap is the price of one coin multiplied by the number of coins in the market.
Short answers on market cap and on what this calculator counts.
It is the value of all the coins in the market at today's price: the price of one coin multiplied by the circulating supply. It is the usual way to compare the size of one coin with another, and it tells you more than the price on its own.
Multiply the coin price by the circulating supply. A coin at ₹250 with 40 crore coins in circulation has a market cap of ₹250 × 40,00,00,000 = ₹10,000 crore.
It is what the market cap would be if every coin that can ever exist were already in the market, at today's price. If the coin above has a max supply of 100 crore, its fully diluted value is ₹25,000 crore and only 40% of its coins are in circulation. A wide gap means many more coins are still to come, which can weigh on the price.
Circulating supply is the coins available in the market now. Total supply is every coin created so far, less any that were burned, and it includes coins that are locked or held back. Max supply is the most that will ever exist. Some coins have no max supply, so leave that box empty for them.
No. The price says little without the supply. For the coin above to reach ₹1,250, its market cap would have to be ₹50,000 crore, which is 5 times today's. Enter a target price to see the market cap it needs, and compare that with coins that are already that size.
No. Market cap describes the coin, not your holding. Tax in India is charged on your own profit when you sell, whatever the size of the coin. Use the India Crypto Tax Calculator for the tax on a sale and the Crypto Profit Calculator for the profit on a holding.
